NDLEA Arrests Three Disabled Persons for Drug Trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested three disabled persons for drug trafficking in Kwara State during operations conducted from May 6 to May 8, 2026. The first suspect, Romanu Nwabara, a 60-year-old, was apprehended on May 6 in Akpaka Forest, Onitsha, Anambra State, with 250 grams of skunk.

On May 7, 25-year-old Amo Kenneth was arrested in Ogbunik, Anambra State, with 160.3 grams of tramadol, 100 mg and 80 mg diazepam pills, and 176.93 grams of skunk. On May 8, NDLEA personnel intercepted a commercial vehicle in Kwara State, identifying Usman Salisu, who was found with 6.3 kilograms of skunk concealed in a brown school bag.

Additionally, a raid on a mansion in Lekki, Lagos, resulted in the recovery of 4,000 parcels of loud cannabis, weighing 2,326 kilograms and valued at N5.815 billion. The agency also seized two Mercedes Benz buses used for drug distribution.

Another suspect, Emmanuel Osita Okek, was arrested in Nyanya, Karu, Nasarawa State, with 129 kilograms of skunk on May 4, 2026.
