NDLEA Arrests 73 in Major Kano Drug Den Raid

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) executed a significant operation in Kano, resulting in the arrest of no fewer than 73 suspects linked to drug trafficking. The raid, which took place on a Friday, was conducted in the Mahaha drug den located near the Sani Abacha Youth Centre in the Sheka area of Kano metropolitan.

The operation was coordinated based on intelligence-led strategies, and various illicit substances were recovered, including cannabis sativa, diazepam, and pregabalin, alongside paraphernalia associated with drug distribution. The NDLEA emphasized that this operation is part of a broader initiative to dislodge and dismantle notorious drug joints across the state, with ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking activities.

Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, stated that operations will continue until there are no safe havens left for illicit drug activities.
