NDLEA Arrests 80-Year-Old Man with Meth in Ekiti

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested an 80-year-old man during a special raid operation at Mosafuneto Camp on Erinmo Road in Efon Alaaye, Ekiti, on March 26. The operation resulted in the seizure of 2.2 kg of skunk and 894.72 kg of methamphetamine.
Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, confirmed the arrest and the quantities of drugs seized. Additionally, on March 24, NDLEA operatives recovered 116.7 kg of skunk during a raid in Pevi Village, Guma LGA, Benue.
Earlier, on March 23, a warehouse in Ekpoma Town, Esan West LGA, was uncovered, leading to the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of 576.5 kg of skunk and 33 bottles of codeine-based syrup. The NDLEA continues its operations across the country as part of its war against drug abuse, including sensitization lectures in secondary schools in various states.
