NDLEA Seizes Ketamine and Skunk in Major Drug Busts

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conducted a series of operations resulting in the seizure of illicit drugs, including 3 kilograms of ketamine and 1,246 kilograms of skunk, across Kaduna and Enugu states. On May 26, 2026, the NDLEA uncovered the ketamine concealed in water purifiers shipped from the Netherlands, leading to the arrest of Musa Sundai and Merci Sundai.

Additionally, on May 24, 2026, in Gonin Gora, Kaduna, 380 rounds of 7.62mm military-grade ammunition were seized from Sunusi Musa, a 30-year-old suspect. The NDLEA also recovered 457 kilograms of skunk in Niger State on May 27, 2026, arresting Godwin Zakka.

In Enugu State, a commercial vehicle was intercepted on May 28, 2026, leading to the recovery of 22,000 tramadol pills and other drugs, with Jame Maigari Wisdom arrested. Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa, the NDLEA Chairman, praised the agency's sustained enforcement efforts and urged a nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking networks.
