NDLEA Seizes Drugs and Ammunition in Nationwide Operations

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) reported significant breakthroughs in its campaign against drug trafficking and abuse, uncovering illicit drug consignments concealed within water purification machines imported from Europe. During routine inspections in Lagos, the agency seized three kilograms of ketamine and 199 grams of MDMA.

In Kaduna, operatives arrested Musa Sunday and Merci Sunday, recovering 1,246 kilograms of skunk cannabis and intercepting 380 rounds of military-grade 7.62mm ammunition from a suspect, Sunusi Musa. The NDLEA also recovered 457 kilograms of skunk in Niger State and intercepted a commercial vehicle in Enugu, leading to the seizure of 22,000 tramadol pills and other drugs.

NDLEA Chairman Buba Marwa commended the efforts of personnel involved in these operations, emphasizing the need for continued action against drug trafficking networks that threaten national security and public health.
