NDLEA Raids Kano, Arrests 73 Drug Suspects

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano Strategic Command executed a raid in Kano, apprehending no fewer than 73 suspects involved in drug-related activities. The operation, which took place on a Friday, was based on intelligence-led efforts targeting drug dens in the Kano metropolitan area, specifically at the notorious Mahaha drug den located near the Sani Abacha Youth Centre in Sheka.

During the raid, a variety of illicit substances were recovered, including cannabis sativa, diazepam, and pregabalin, along with paraphernalia associated with drug distribution. The NDLEA stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to identify, dislodge, and dismantle notorious drug joints across the state.

Brig Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, emphasized the agency's commitment to safeguarding communities and disrupting networks that fuel substance abuse and crime.

The agency has called on the public to continue providing timely information to support further crackdown efforts.
