NDLEA Intercepts Illicit Herbal Mixture and Cannabis in Kano

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kano intercepted a consignment containing an illicit herbal mixture and 48 blocks of Cannabis sativa. The suspect, Ali Muhammad, was arrested in connection with the seized items hidden in a trailer en route from Lagos to Maiduguri.

The interception occurred at Gadar Tamburawa on the Zaria-Kano Road, where the NDLEA discovered the illicit substances concealed in a fully loaded tricycle (Keke Napep) beneath a wooden cover. The agency emphasized the importance of public vigilance in reporting suspicious activities to law enforcement.

The seized items are now in NDLEA custody pending further investigation and laboratory analysis to confirm the nature of the substances.
