NDLEA Seizes N3.9bn Tramadol, Arrests Indian Businessman at Lagos Airport

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted a consignment of tramadol pills worth N3.9 billion at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. An Indian businessman, Gupta Ravi Kumar, was arrested alongside three Nigerians in connection with the seizure.

The tramadol shipment, disguised as multivitamins, arrived from Delhi, India, and was intercepted by NDLEA operatives. The agency also arrested individuals attempting to smuggle cannabis at the airport.

The successful interception highlights NDLEA's efforts to combat drug trafficking and smuggling activities at Nigerian airports, preventing illegal substances from entering the country.
