NDLEA Raids Bayero University Area, Arrests Six Suspects

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) carried out a successful raid in the Bayero University Kano Old Site area, resulting in the arrest of six suspects allegedly involved in illicit drug activities. The operation, led by Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics Sadiq Maigatari under the command of CN Dy Lawal, aimed to dismantle several drug joints in the vicinity.

This action was initiated following formal complaints from the university management about drug dealers and users operating within the institution's adjoining community. The NDLEA emphasized its commitment to ensuring a drug-free environment for students and staff, stating that it would continue to dislodge individuals involved in drug-related activities.

The agency also highlighted the importance of collaboration with educational institutions to combat drug abuse and related crimes, urging the public to report suspicious activities to aid in identifying and dismantling drug hideouts across the state.
