NDLEA Seizes Cocaine, Destroys 65,000kg of Skunk

On May 15, 2026, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted a shipment of cocaine and various opioids concealed in cartons destined for the UK and Australia. A total of 170 grams of cocaine was found hidden within the wall of a carton containing cloth items.

The agency's Director of Media Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the seizures made in Lagos. In a separate operation in Delta State, the NDLEA destroyed 65,000 kg of skunk across two farms in the Ukwuani and Ughelli North Local Government Areas.

Two suspects, Ifeanyichukwu Peter (52) and Godwin Vincent Osadera (30), were arrested during these operations. The NDLEA also reported additional seizures and arrests in Kaduna State and Abuja, including military-grade ammunition and drugs concealed in food items.

The agency continues to combat drug trafficking and production across Nigeria.
