NEMA Distributes Relief Items to Adamawa Flood Victims

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has initiated the distribution of relief items to flood victims in Adamawa State, as announced on their official social media page on Wednesday. This exercise, which began on March 17, 2026, follows the approval of NEMA's Director General, Zubaida Umar.

The distribution targets communities affected by flooding in Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha Federal Constituency. NEMA has implemented strict security measures to ensure a smooth, orderly, and transparent process for beneficiaries.

The relief items distributed include food and non-food materials such as rice, maize, spaghetti, vegetable oil, and essential household items, aimed at cushioning the impact of the floods on affected families. During the exercise, member representative Jaafar Abubakar Magaji, alongside community representatives, commended the federal government's timely intervention in supporting the victims.

NEMA reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining humanitarian support in the state, which has faced recurrent severe flooding, particularly in areas along the Benue River.
