NEPL and Seplat Award N18m in Educational Grants

NEPL and Seplat Energy PLC have awarded educational infrastructure grants totaling N18 million to three secondary schools as part of their joint venture's educational initiative. The grants were distributed following the 2026 edition of the Pearl Quiz Competition, which saw participation from 476 secondary schools across Edo and Delta states.

Notre Dame College in Ozoro, Delta State, emerged as the overall winner, receiving N10 million. Henson Demonstration School in Benin City secured the second place and received N5 million, while Lumen Christi College was awarded N3 million for finishing third.

Chief Operating Officer of Seplat Energy PLC, Samson Ezugwori, stated that the initiative aims to address foundational learning gaps and create opportunities for students to succeed. Managing Director of NEPL, Nicola Foucart, and Director of External Affairs and Social Performance at Seplat Energy PLC, Chioma Af, also commended the partnership and the program's impact on educational initiatives since its inception in 2012.
