Seplat Energy Partners Edo Hospital for Free Eye Care

The NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL)/Seplat Energy Joint Venture (JV) collaborated with Edo Specialist Hospital (ESH) in Benin City to launch a free eye care initiative aimed at underserved communities in Edo and Delta States. This three-day outreach, part of the JV's Corporate Social Investment initiative called Eye Can See, provided free eye screenings, consultations, cataract surgeries, prescription glasses, dental care, and basic health checks.

NEPL/Seplat Energy JV supplied medical consumables, while ESH contributed specialist personnel and healthcare infrastructure. Mrs.

Chioma Afe, Seplat Energy’s Director of External Affairs and Social Performance, stated that the initiative enhances access to quality eye care and reflects the company's commitment to sustainable healthcare. Dr.

Antonia Inibukun-Njoku, Chief Medical Director of ESH, noted this was the first collaboration with NEPL/Seplat Energy JV for the Eye Can See initiative, emphasizing its significance in expanding healthcare access. The outreach also received praise from beneficiaries and Dr.

Andrew Iyamu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, for its contribution to healthcare accessibility.
