NEPL and Seplat Energy Train Community Vendors in Delta

NEPL and Seplat Energy organized a workshop in Sapel, Delta State, to train host community vendors on contracting processes. The event aimed to strengthen contract capacity, promote transparency, and ensure compliance in procurement processes.

Mr. Bless Adagbasa, representing Seplat Energy, emphasized the importance of reinforcing approved contract procedures and raising awareness about procurement risks and ethical standards.

The workshop included participation from members of the board, management committee, advisory committee, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders. Mr.

Olubukonla Oyegbami from NEPL described the workshop as a positive step toward strengthening governance within host communities. The training covered the entire contract cycle, including project planning, vendor registration, bidder selection, contract award, project execution, and payment approval measures to prevent fraud and manage conflicts of interest.
