Nigerian Discos Bill Customers N742.3bn, Collect N564.7bn in Q2 2025 - NERC Report

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) revealed that Discos billed customers a total of N742.3 billion but only collected N564.7 billion revenue in Q2 2025. Despite a 76% collection rate, there is still a deficit of N177.6 billion.

Eko Disco led in revenue collection, followed by Ikeja Disco and Abuja Disco. Port Harcourt Disco recorded the strongest quarter.

However, Kaduna and Yola Discos had the lowest collection efficiency. The sector continues to face challenges with metering gaps and revenue leakages.
