NESG Dialogue Calls For Mindset Shift To Drive Development

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) and the Gates Foundation organized a dialogue in Lagos, emphasizing the need for a national mindset shift to drive sustainable development in Nigeria. The event, part of the Development Attitude National Dialogue Series, featured discussions inspired by the book "Development Attitude" by Osita Ogbu, a development economist.

Ogbu highlighted the importance of disciplined governance and productive citizenship in shaping development outcomes. The NESG CEO, Tayo Aduloju, stressed that without the right mindset, even the best policies could fail.

Prominent speakers, including former Lagos State governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, emphasized the importance of law and order, civic discipline, and governance in driving development. The dialogue set the tone for the 31st Nigerian Economic Summit scheduled for October 2025, focusing on the need for a collective shift towards innovation and discipline to achieve tangible progress in Nigeria.
