New Jersey to Host Training Bases for 2026 World Cup Teams

New Jersey has been selected to host the training bases for Brazil, Morocco, Senegal, and Haiti for the 2026 World Cup. Governor Miki Sherril confirmed this decision, highlighting the significance of the state becoming a central hub for the tournament.

The Brazilian team, a five-time World Cup champion, will train at Columbia Park, which is affiliated with the New York Red Bulls. Morocco, which reached the semi-finals in the last World Cup, will utilize training facilities at Pingry School.

The Haitian team will base itself at Stockton University in Galloway, while Senegal will train at Rutgers University. The announcement is expected to enhance New Jersey's economy, despite concerns regarding rising transport costs affecting fans.

The state will also host two group matches at MetLife Stadium and is set to host the final on July 19.
