New Terror Group Mamudawa Kills Four in Kebbi Attack

On Sunday, a new terrorist group known as Mamudawa attacked the Shanga Local Government Area in Kebbi State, resulting in the deaths of four people. The assailants invaded the community in the Gebb district, with reports indicating that the attack took place in the Wawa Forest of Borgu Local Government Area, Niger State.

The terrorists set fire to the village of Kawara during the assault. Adamu Hamza, the Vice Chairman of Shanga Local Government Area, confirmed the incident to newsmen, although the exact number of casualties remains unverified.

The district head of Gebb, Alhaji Haruna Usman, also confirmed the attack, noting that residents have fled to Gungu and other forest areas for safety. The Kebbi State Police Command, through its spokesman Bashir Usman, stated that the Mamudawa terrorist group exploited the wetland terrain to carry out the attack, which has caused significant distress in the community.
