ADC Prepares for 2026 National Convention in Abuja

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is set to host its 2026 national convention at the Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja, with preparations intensifying ahead of the event scheduled for Tuesday. The venue has been adorned in ADC colors, and the setup is being supervised by Liyel Imoke, the chairman of the convention planning committee, along with notable members including former Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha and former Nigerian Bar Association President Olumide Akpata.

The ADC expects around 300 delegates to attend the convention, which will address key agenda items, including the affirmation of national work and a review of the party's constitution and manifesto. The event is a significant occasion for the ADC, especially after a previous failed attempt to secure approval for a venue at Eagle Square and Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

The preparations were observed on Monday evening, with traders selling refreshments as the venue was being readied for the event.
