NFF Pursues William Osula for Nigeria National Team

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is reportedly making efforts to persuade William Osula, a 22-year-old striker currently with Newcastle United, to switch his international allegiance from Denmark to Nigeria. Osula has recently joined Sheffield United and has shown impressive form, notably scoring a standout winner against Manchester United.

Despite spending much of the season as a rotational player, he has begun to establish himself as a key contributor for his club. Off the pitch, Osula has garnered attention from Nigerian fans through a viral video where he playfully prepared a traditional dish, ogbono soup.

Born in Copenhagen to a Danish mother and a Nigerian-French father, Osula is eligible to represent multiple countries and has previously featured for Denmark at the youth level. He recently accepted a senior call-up from Denmark, highlighting the urgency of NFF's efforts to secure his commitment to the Super Eagles.
