NFF Inaugurates Electoral Committees for 2026 Elections

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially inaugurated its electoral committees in preparation for the upcoming elections set for September 26, 2026. The inauguration ceremony will take place at the NFF secretariat in Abuja and will be presided over by NFF President Ibrahim Gusau.

This event marks the commencement of the committees' responsibilities, which include organizing and supervising the electoral process in accordance with the federation's statutes. Twelve officials have been appointed to serve on two committees, as approved during an extraordinary general assembly held in Yenagoa on March 23, 2026.

The electoral committee will consist of a chairperson, a vice chairperson, three members, and two alternates, while the electoral appeal committee will comprise five officials, including three full members and two alternates. The mandate of the electoral committee is to supervise the entire electoral process in line with the NFF electoral code, emphasizing transparency, fairness, and compliance with regulatory provisions.
