Shina Philips Praises Tinubu's Football Reforms Initiative

Shina Philips, the founder and President of the Nigeria Pitch Awards, expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiating reforms in Nigeria's football governing body. In a press release in Abuja, Philips supported the reforms, stating they would address challenges in Nigerian football and identify areas needing presidential intervention.

He described the reforms as a bold attempt to confront perceived declines in football, emphasizing its strategic importance and large following in Nigeria. Philips commended the National Sports Commission and urged collaboration with FIFA to ensure the reforms align with its guidelines.

He expressed support for the new interim management led by Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme and Dr Ademola Olajire, calling on all football stakeholders to support the reform process, highlighting that the growth of Nigerian football is a collective responsibility.
