Nigeria Receives CAF Approval for Grade A Coaching Program

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has secured approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for a Grade A coaching convention, a significant milestone after a nine-year wait. Jaida Zakaria, who manages the NFF's coaching education project, confirmed the receipt of the approval letter from CAF.

This achievement is seen as a major breakthrough for the NFF, with Terri Babatunde Eguaoj, the head of coaching education at NFF, describing it as a truly huge development. The NFF had previously received approval for lower-tier coaching certifications but has now reached a new level with the elite CAF coaching program.

The NFF is expected to begin preparations for the logistical rollout of the CAF coaching program in Nigeria, which aims to enhance the quality of football coaching in the country.
