ADC Declares Dr. Moham Kpautagi as Governorship Candidate

The Niger State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has produced Dr. Moham Kpautagi as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Kpautagi was declared the winner after securing a total of 67,924 votes, defeating his opponent Alhaji Idrisu Makanta, who garnered 27,769 votes across 25 local government areas in Niger State. The announcement was made by Ibrahim Moham, the state returning officer, during an official declaration of the primary election results held in Minna.

In addition to the governorship candidacy, the ADC also announced winners for three senatorial seats, including Alhaji Shehu Moham for Niger North, Muktar Ahm for Niger East, and Baba Agai, a former deputy leader of the House of Representatives, for Niger South. The results reflect the party's positioning ahead of the upcoming elections, with Kpautagi and other candidates meeting the requirements set by the party's constitutional guidelines for election to office.
