Niger Commissioner Ladidi Bosso Resigns for 2027 Election

Ladidi Bosso, the Niger State Commissioner for Tourism, has officially resigned from her position to focus on her political aspirations. She intends to run for the House of Representatives seat representing the Paiko Federal Constituency in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

In her resignation, Bosso expressed gratitude to Governor Umar Bago and the state government for the opportunity to serve, pledging to continue her efforts in developing her constituency at the national level. The resignation was in compliance with the Niger State government's requirement for political appointees who plan to contest in the 2027 elections to resign from their positions.

The resignation was effective as of March 23, 2026, following a directive issued by the Secretary to the Government of Niger State, Abubakar Usman, in light of the revised electoral timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Ministry of Tourism confirmed that its activities will continue without disruption despite Bosso's resignation.
