Terrorists Overwhelm Police in Niger State, Dynamite Used in Station Attack

In Niger State, Nigeria, the Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Adamu Elleman, confirmed a terrorist attack in Agwara community, Agwara Local Government Area. The terrorists, numbering around 150, used dynamite to blow up a police station and also attacked the UMCA Church, burning parts of it.

Eyewitnesses reported that the terrorists invaded the town around 2 am, causing chaos and abducting five individuals. The attackers also set fire to the church after spraying it with petrol.

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties. Reverend Yakubu Yohanna, who had been in hiding, confirmed the attack.

This incident follows a previous abduction of 230 teachers and students in Papiri town last year. The federal government had intervened to rescue the abducted individuals.
