Nigeria Congratulates Dr. András Baka as Hungary's President

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, congratulated Dr. András Baka on his election as the new President of Hungary. The Nigerian government commended the Hungarian National Assembly for the successful conclusion of the presidential election and extended best wishes to Dr. Baka as he prepares to assume office.

Nigeria acknowledged Dr. Baka’s distinguished career in the judiciary, including his roles as President of Hungary’s Supreme Court and as a Judge of the European Court of Human Rights. The Nigerian government expressed confidence that Dr. Baka’s leadership would promote democratic values, the rule of law, and national unity while enhancing Hungary's engagement with the international community.

Nigeria emphasized the importance of its longstanding relations with Hungary and looks forward to deepening cooperation in various sectors, including trade, education, and culture.
