Nigeria's Braimah Presents Credentials to Serbia's Vučić

Engr. Abasi Ogwime Braimah has officially taken on his role as Nigeria’s non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Serbia, presenting his Letters of Credence to President Aleksandar Vučić on 14 September 2026 at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade. This event signifies a renewed commitment from both the Nigerian government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Serbian government to enhance their longstanding relationship, which spans over six decades.

Ambassador Braimah, who is based in Budapest, Hungary, conveyed greetings from President Tinubu and expressed Nigeria’s dedication to strengthening cooperation across various sectors, including political, economic, trade, investment, education, and culture. He emphasized the importance of working closely with Serbian authorities and stakeholders to explore new opportunities for mutual benefit.

Legal practitioner Marshal Abubakar remarked that Braimah’s credential presentation represents a significant opportunity to advance the Nigeria-Serbia partnership.
