Nigeria Congratulates Hungary’s President-Elect Baka

The Nigerian Government, represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, congratulated András Baka on his election as President of Hungary. The statement, issued by Spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa, commended the Hungarian National Assembly for successfully concluding the presidential election.

Nigeria recognized Baka's distinguished career in the judiciary, including his roles as President of Hungary’s Supreme Court and Judge of the European Court of Human Rights. The Federal Government expressed confidence that Baka's extensive judicial experience and commitment to the rule of law would benefit his responsibilities as Hungary’s Head of State.

Furthermore, Nigeria reaffirmed its commitment to the longstanding relationship with Hungary and expressed readiness to enhance bilateral cooperation in political, diplomatic, trade, education, culture, science, technology, and people-to-people exchanges.
