Nigeria Cup 2026 to Celebrate Golf and Culture in Lagos

The 29th edition of the Nigeria Cup is scheduled for September 19–27, 2026, at Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos. Organised by the Nigeria Cup Organising Committee and chaired by Mohamed Oyibo, this year's tournament aims to blend competitive golf with a celebration of Nigerian culture, creating a carnival-style experience.

The theme for the event is “Born of Legacy, Built for Greatness,” and it seeks to raise the standard of amateur golf while enhancing corporate engagement. Oyibo stated that the tournament will transform the traditional golfing experience into a vibrant hospitality and entertainment hub, coinciding with Nigeria's Independence anniversary.

The event will feature specialized competition days for various categories, including children, caddies, women, and veterans, culminating in a grand finale. Additional activities include a Championship Watch Party and a formal Legacy Gala, supported by major corporate brands and lifestyle partners, providing a unique blend of sporting competition, entertainment, and cultural expression.
