Peter Obi Warns of Rising Political Thuggery in Nigeria

He condemned the recent attack on former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi's convoy in River State, which he described as a sign of deteriorating democracy.

Obi highlighted that such violence and intimidation are being weaponized to suppress democratic participation. He made these remarks during a political event, emphasizing the alarming trend of attacks on political figures, including the burning of African Democratic Congress offices and disruptions of political meetings nationwide.
