Babachir Lawal Prefers Tinubu Over Atiku for Presidency

Babachir Lawal, who served as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated his preference for President Bola Tinubu over former Vice President Atiku Abubakar during an interview on the Naija Unfiltered Podcast. Lawal's opinion stems from his past experiences working with Atiku, which he described as chaotic.

Initially, Lawal considered supporting Atiku due to the challenges facing northern Nigeria, believing that electing a northerner could help address the region's issues. However, he later changed his view, alleging that Atiku often gives instructions and then alters his position after consulting others.

Lawal remarked, “I’d rather go with Bola than Atiku because when Nigeria crashes with Bola, it might be an orderly crash, but with Atiku it would be a chaotic one.” He also mentioned that his survey indicated a low likelihood of winning if Atiku pairs with him.
