Peter Obi Advocates for Wealth Creation in Nigeria

Peter Obi, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserted that Nigeria requires a wealth creator like him during an interview on New Central's "60 Minutes" on Thursday. His comments were in response to remarks made by former presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) at Chatham House in London in 2023.

Obi compared his qualifications for the presidency to those of Kwankwaso, who holds a PhD. He acknowledged that while having a PhD is not inherently negative, it does not equate to practical experience in wealth creation.

Obi criticized the current leadership, including President Bola Tinubu, stating that the country needs someone capable of managing and creating wealth through local businesses. He emphasized that Nigeria's leadership should focus on effective wealth management and creation to address the nation's challenges.
