Nigeria Police Warn Against False Security Narratives

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has issued a warning against the dissemination of false security narratives that could undermine national security efforts. CSP Iniedu Anieti Okokon, a spokesperson for the police, emphasized the growing impact of misinformation on public perception of security operations.

He urged citizens and media practitioners to prioritize accuracy and avoid speculation that could harm the police's efforts. Okokon highlighted the crucial role of the public in safeguarding national security and called on individuals to refrain from becoming channels for subversive ideologies or dissenting narratives.
