Nigeria Prepares for 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy

Nigeria is fully prepared to host the 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT) from November 2 to 7, 2026, at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja. Dr. Lami Onayi Ahmed, President of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria and Chairperson of the AACT 2026 Local Organising Committee (LOC), stated that the country is ready to welcome over 30 African countries for the tournament.

Preparations have advanced beyond planning, with teams focusing on security, transportation, accommodation, medical services, and other operational areas. Ahmed emphasized that security is a top priority, with arrangements being coordinated around airports, hotels, and the golf course.

The AACT will be followed by the Nigerian Ladies Open Championship from November 7 to 10, 2026. Additionally, there are plans for a Business and Investment Summit and a Girls in Golf initiative to support young girls in the sport.

Ahmed expressed that the tournament will showcase Nigeria’s hospitality and strengthen women’s golf across Africa.
