Nigeria Reaffirms Commitment to UN Amid Global Changes

On Thursday, Nigeria's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, received the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Mohamed Fall, during a courtesy visit in Abuja. Enikanolaiye reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, despite the shifting global priorities.

He acknowledged a positive shift in strategic thinking within the UN system and commended the organization for its support to Nigeria through various agencies, funds, and programs. The minister characterized the UN as a strategic partner in humanitarian action, development cooperation, and peacebuilding, particularly in vulnerable communities.
