Nigeria Boosts Military Production with New Partnership

Nigeria is advancing its military production capabilities through a partnership with Eagles International for Defence Systems, as announced by Mr Osman Chennar, the Chief Executive Officer of DICON-D7G. This initiative, revealed following a two-day inspection tour of military production facilities in Cairo by Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, aims to boost technology transfer, create over 200 jobs, and provide opportunities for about 100 retired military personnel.

The partnership will establish production lines for various military equipment, including the Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle BR6, Armoured Personnel Carrier cabins, and medical evacuation cabins. Additional targets include the MRAP-Buffalo U.10 and M.12 armored vehicles, Rhino Guard GXR anti-drone vehicles, and BMP-2 Infantry Fighting Vehicles.

This initiative is expected to enable Nigeria to manufacture a broader range of military equipment for its armed forces and potentially supply other African nations.
