Nigeria Collaborates with Global Intelligence on Security

Mr. Ademola Oshodi, senior special assistant to the president on foreign affairs protocol, announced that Nigeria is working with intelligence agencies from Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and China to tackle insecurity in the country.

This collaboration aims to enhance Nigeria's security and economic interests, particularly in light of recent attacks, including the church attack in Ondo State. Oshodi emphasized a shift from a primarily military-focused strategy to an intelligence-driven approach, which he believes is more effective in addressing the persistent security challenges posed by groups like Boko Haram and banditry.

He dismissed recommendations from the US Congress for Nigeria to divest from military partnerships with Russia and China, asserting that Nigeria will not compromise its sovereignty. The disclosure comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East and highlights the need for international cooperation in tracking terrorist financing and prosecuting perpetrators of violence.
