Nigerian Officials Emphasize Intelligence Sharing for National Security

The National Security Adviser (NSA) and Nigerian security officials stress the critical need for robust intelligence sharing and sustained joint operations to ensure national stability. During a security conference in Abuja, the NSA and representatives from the Nigeria Police Force highlighted the significance of deeper collaboration among agencies as a cornerstone of the country's evolving security framework.

General Christoph Musa of the Ministry of Defence outlined efforts to harmonize operations, strengthen intelligence capabilities, and align security plans with national development priorities. The officials warned of persistent threats such as terrorism, banditry, and cybercrime that undermine public confidence and economic growth.

They emphasized the importance of intelligence fusion, inter-agency coordination, and technology-driven surveillance systems in achieving sustainable security.
