NAMC Endorses Afro World Cup Tour 2026 for Cultural Promotion

The Nigerian-American Multicultural Council (NAMC) has officially endorsed the Afro World Cup Tour (AWCT) 2026, a major initiative designed to celebrate African culture and entertainment during the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the United States. Led by Carter Ef, the tour aims to engage the Nigerian and African diaspora, particularly in cities like Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York.

Dr. Hakeem Tijani, Vice President of Community Partnerships at NAMC, emphasized the project's potential to promote Nigerian culture and provide a platform for African talent.

During a meeting in Houston, Tijani and project lead Lucki Felix Eyo discussed collaboration opportunities to enhance community participation ahead of the tournament. The tour is expected to feature comedy shows, nightlife events, and cultural showcases, aiming to create visibility for African-owned businesses and engage millions through social media.

NAMC's support is seen as a significant milestone in connecting the African cultural business community with a global audience during the World Cup.
