Nigerian Army Opens Recruitment Portal for 2023 Intake

The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of online registration for the 91 Regular Recruit Intake, which will run from March 30 to May 17. This recruitment exercise is open to qualified Nigerian citizens, with an emphasis on a free application process.

The Army has warned applicants to avoid fraudsters and has specified that applications must be submitted online. Candidates must be Nigerian citizens, single, and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN).

Educational requirements include a minimum of four credits in relevant subjects, including English, from either the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE), National Examination Council (NECO), or National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB). Non-trade applicants must be aged between 18 and 22 years, while trade applicants should not exceed 26 years as of June 30.

Minimum height requirements are set at 1.68 meters for men and 1.65 meters for women. Shortlisted candidates will undergo screening from June 9 to June 23, and submission of fake documents will lead to prosecution.
