Nigerian Army Promotes Six Majors to Lieutenant Colonel

On Thursday, during a ceremony held at the 81 Division office mess in Victoria Island, Lagos, six majors in the Nigerian Army were promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel. The newly promoted officers are Sanusi, L.

Uwagbo. Adebayo Babalola, the commander of the 81 Division, charged the officers to justify the confidence placed in them as they assume higher responsibilities in various strategic roles within the division, including intelligence, training, education, and administrative duties.

Babalola commended the officers for their dedication and professionalism, noting that the promotions were based on merit and careful observation of their progress. Musa Yahaya, acting deputy director of the 81 Division GOC, further urged the officers to redouble their efforts in serving the nation, emphasizing that the promotion is not merely ceremonial but a call to renewed commitment and discipline in their professional duties.
