Nigerian Envoy Strengthens Ties with Jamaica's Governor-General

On Thursday, Jane Adams, the Nigerian High Commissioner to Jamaica, presented her letters of credence to Sir Patrick Allen, the Governor-General of Jamaica. During the ceremony, Adams conveyed greetings from President Bola Tinubu to the Jamaican government and its people.

She described the presentation as a significant milestone in the diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Jamaica, highlighting their shared history and cultural kinship. Adams articulated her mission to strengthen bilateral relations and translate cultural affinities into beneficial partnerships across trade, investment, health, culture, technology, tourism, and education.

Sir Patrick Allen acknowledged the 56 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations and appreciated Nigeria's contributions, particularly in providing specialist nurses and educators to Jamaica, which he viewed as a testament to their warm friendship. He wished Adams a successful tenure as High Commissioner.
