Nigeria's High Commissioner Dr. Adams Presents Credentials in Jamaica

On 10 September 2026, Her Excellency Dr. Jane Bassey Adams, the High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Jamaica, presented her Letters of Credence to His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Linton Allen, Governor-General of Jamaica, at King’s House in Kingston, Jamaica. During the ceremony, Dr. Adams conveyed greetings from His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of Nigeria, to Sir Allen and the Jamaican people.

She described the presentation as a significant milestone in Nigeria-Jamaica relations, highlighting their historical bonds and shared heritage. Dr. Adams emphasized the need to translate these bonds into robust partnerships, particularly in trade, investment, health, culture, technology, tourism, and education.

She expressed her commitment to working with Jamaican authorities to explore new cooperation opportunities while strengthening existing ties. The High Commissioner affirmed her mission would be guided by the vision of “A New Dawn” in bilateral relations, aiming for tangible economic and developmental outcomes.
