Nigerian Ambassador Ikpeazu Presents Credentials in Spain

On Monday, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Okezie Ikpeazu, presented his Letters of Credence to King Felipe VI at the Royal Palace in Madrid, marking the start of his diplomatic assignment. Following the presentation, Ikpeazu called for the revitalization of existing bilateral agreements, including the Bilateral Air Service Agreement, to strengthen economic cooperation and enhance people-to-people relations between Nigeria and Spain.

He conveyed greetings from President Bola Tinubu to the Spanish monarch and emphasized Nigeria's commitment to improving bilateral relations across various sectors such as trade, investment, energy, and tourism. At a reception hosted by the Nigerian Embassy in Madrid, Ikpeazu stressed the need for a review of existing agreements to align with current priorities and highlighted the importance of direct air connectivity for boosting economic partnerships.

He expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the Spanish government and pledged to advance Nigeria’s interests while fostering collaboration between both nations.
