Enugu Governor Mbah Encourages Youths on Opportunities

Enugu State Governor Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah called on the state's youths to actively seek employment and skills development opportunities provided by the federal government. He delivered this message through Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, at the Peter Eze Youth Connect programme organized by the Federal Character Commission (FCC) at the International Conference Centre.

The event, themed "Beyond Quotas: Unlocking Opportunities for Enugu Youths Through the Federal Character Commission," attracted thousands of participants, including graduates and entrepreneurs. Mbah highlighted the award of five fully funded scholarships for study, sponsored by friends of Peter Eze in the diaspora, as a significant opportunity.

He stressed that access to opportunities is as crucial as entitlement to quotas in government appointments. The governor also mentioned technical programs in China that have benefited youths from the South-East and discussed initiatives linking young farmers to international markets.

FCC Chairman Mrs Ayo Omidiran emphasized that federal jobs are open to all qualified Nigerians and urged youths to apply for available positions.
