Mbah Advocates for Youth Development in Enugu State

Peter Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State, addressed the importance of youth development during the Peter Eze Youth Connect programme organized by the Federal Character Commission in Enugu. He outlined his administration's efforts to create opportunities for young people, including the development of Enugu Talent City and an Artificial Intelligence Institute in partnership with the Nigerian Communications Commission.

Mbah emphasized the concession of Akanu Ibiam International Airport as a means to improve connectivity for farmers, exporters, and businesses. He also mentioned opportunities for South-East youths to participate in technical and skills-development programmes in China, which could enhance local businesses and innovation upon their return.

Mbah stated that investing in education, skills, and innovation is crucial for making young people globally competitive. He expressed a vision for Enugu where young individuals can build their futures locally while reaching global markets.

Ayo Omidiran, Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, reiterated the availability of federal employment opportunities for qualified Nigerians.
