APC Primary Elections Yield Key Victories Across Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) conducted primary elections across Nigeria, with significant outcomes reported. Yusuf Buhari, son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, secured a decisive victory in the House of Representatives primary, garnering 17,342 votes against Auwalu Musa Daura, who received 480 votes.

Ndudi Elumelu emerged as the APC candidate for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, while Julius Ihonvber lost his bid to return to the House. Kelvin Muham announced Andrew Ijegbai as the winner in the Owan Federal Constituency primary.

In Abuja, a building collapse resulted in five fatalities, and in Yobe State, 17 police officers were confirmed dead following a terrorist attack during a training session. Additionally, Benjamin Kalu was elected unopposed as the APC candidate for the Bend Federal Constituency in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
