Chadian National Mahadijiria Abdoulaye Arrested in Nigeria

The Nigeria Police Force arrested Mahadijiria Abdoulaye, a Chadian national wanted for the alleged murder of Nazik Mahamat Saleh, on August 5, 2026. Saleh was tortured and killed on May 3, 2026, prompting the Court of Appeal in N’Djamena to issue an international warrant for Abdoulaye and her alleged accomplice, Fatime Senoussi Mouktar, on June 22.

Abdoulaye, who was also connected to narcotics trafficking activities in Chad, fled to Nigeria following the murder. She was located and apprehended at Railway Quarters in the Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State through coordinated intelligence operations.

Abdoulaye was repatriated to N’Djamena on August 14 via Lomé, Togo, under bilateral police cooperation arrangements facilitated by INTERPOL NCB Abuja and INTERPOL NCB N’Djamena. Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu praised the professionalism of the INTERPOL operatives, emphasizing the commitment of the police to prevent fugitives from evading justice across borders.
