Nigerian Professor Ogechi Adeola Named Rwanda's Top Researcher

Professor Ogechi Adeola has emerged as Rwanda's top researcher in Business and Management according to the 2026 AD Scientific Index, which ranks her among the Top 10 Scientists in the country. Adeola holds the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Enterprise) at the University of Kigali.

This recognition is a testament to her significant contributions to research and scholarly impact. The accolade follows her earlier recognition as one of the Stanford–Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2025, underscoring her commitment to research excellence.

The University of Kigali stated that Adeola's achievements exemplify the transformative role of research and academic leadership in addressing societal challenges and enhancing the institution's global visibility. The AD Scientific Index evaluates over 2.6 million researchers worldwide, recognizing those with sustained academic influence.
